A Prayer before the Crucifix
O Kind and dear Jesus, I humbly kneel down before You, and pray to You fervently. Impress on my heart, lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity. Bless me with a true repentance for my sins, and a strong desire of amendment. My Lord and my God, let me feel Your healing touch, as I recall Your five precious wounds. Allow me to experience Your great love, as I londer, over the words of the prophet David, concerning You. ‘They have pierced My hands and feet, they have numbered all My bones.” Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
